Come and Sing Event in Glasgow

The Glasgow Society of Organists, in this its Centenary Year, is once again hosting a one-day "come and sing" event on Saturday 3rd March at 2.30pm in Wellington Church, Southpark Avenue, Glasgow G12 8LE.

The works we will be tackling are Haydn's Little Organ Mass, Stanford's Magnificat in C, and in this Jubilee Year - Handel's ever popular Zadok the Priest.

The plan is to meet for a 2.30 rehearsal, break at about 4pm for tea and refreshments, then "perform" the three pieces at about 4.30. The event will be finished by 5.30pm.

As last year, Nairn Young will rehearse and direct the choir, with myself accompanying on the organ.

Copies of the music will be provided on the day - just bring your voice! There is no charge for either singers or listeners.

You are welcome to just turn up on the day, but to assist with numbers it would help if you could email amag16@aol.com if you would be free/interested in taking part.
